A Couple Fun Ones

Finished these funboards up yesterday a 7'2" and a 7'3" they are great learning boards but could be ridden at all levels in small to average size surf. They will be available at Lost Surf Shack in Fort Bragg as soon as I can get some glass on them and shine em' up real nice. Jake

Taped Off

There is a great blog that I check out on a regular basis called Taped Off. Peter St Pierre loves making surfboards as much as I do and he has been at it decades longer. He is truly inspiring, here is my version of taped off.

Friends Let Friends Pick Their Noserider

My buddy Derek came over to take some photos of his noserider being shaped. He got some great images. Here are a few, if you want to see more go to www.lazyiproductions.com and click on "photographs". Hope everyone gets some south swell this weekend. Jake

I finished this one up before we started cutting on the noserider

Spring Board

Materials that went into this board are Made in California
Spring is in the air around here, birds a chirping, the wind is blowing out of the north west and boards are getting finished. I completed this one yesterday and It is at the Lost Surf Shack in Fort Bragg if you want to check it out. It has a beautiful cedar stringer and blue and green foam stain bands. In case you are noticing a pattern, I really like blue and green, on the next board maybe i will branch out and put some red on it. If you want one board to catch waves in all conditions then look no further.  Jake

Wooden Boards and Warm Water

The Family and I are going to North Carolina in a couple months and in the spirit of that trip I found these pictures. This is me and my friend Matt on the maiden voyage of the wooden boards we built together. There is no feeling quite like surfing a board that shaped yourself but when it is a wooden board that took 80+ hours to build it takes the enjoyment to a whole new level. This was an early morning summer session with some fun little waves. It's great to surf with friends on equipment you made together. I think it's time to make another one. Jake

Sleepless Nights

My buddy Julian came by the shop the other day and he was dying for some pictures of his new Fish (It's the one with the Mexican blanket tint from the earlier post). I did a resin panel on the deck that he was excited to see, so excited in fact that he said he could not sleep because he was thinking about it. Julian you are not alone I too lose sleep thinking about resin panels. Here are a few pictures for you, sleep tight. Jake
