Fatty Color Factory

We have some serious color in the shop right now thanks to a few from Surfboards by J.B. which are in various stages of glassing. The top two boards are airbrushed by J.B.
This pink nine footer is a full resin tint with pigment done in the lam, it's so bright even with all those other colorful boards in the glassing room, whenever I walked in there my eye was immediately drawn to it. No one will be able to claim that they didn't see J.B. coming. Jake

Neto Teddy

My buddy Ted invented a pretty cool system of putting magnets in your board under your front foot. I have been testing it out in one of my shortboards and it is really fun. I have been installing quite a few systems lately and Ted put together this installation video at my shop the other day. Enjoy and check out his website Neto Grip for more info. Jake

Truck Full of Ding Repair

The other day Leslie unloaded her garage into the back of my truck. Most of these boards are badly damaged but they will be perfect for honing my ding repair skills. My wife was stoked as well because she wants to get in on the ding repair action as well, not to mention that when the boards are fixed we get to ride them. I love riding different shapes and sizes of boards, I always learn so much. Thanks Les

Glassing With Fatty

I have been spending a bunch of time over at Fatty Fiberglass trying to learn all I can before she is gone. See Fatty met an Alaskan man who has stolen her heart and consequently our glasser is acquiring arctic gear and having big yard sales in anticipation of moving up north. I have been working with Fatty for a year and a half now but time is running out so i have been making time to get over there so i can figure this stuff out before i am on my own. Here are some shots from this week at Fatty Fiberglass.
The board with the blue tail and green stripe is mine and I will be glassing it next week

Red and orange were everywhere
